Description
Note: There is nothing wrong with this print but I created a v2 which can be found here! It primarily allows for a more secure foot connection without the locking pieces.
This print was my attempt at creating a laptop stand that looked elegant, wasn't over engineered and could be expanded upon in the future if needed.
The slotting leg+frame system lets you adjust between these 6* angles:
I printed these on their side without top and bottom shells as a way to quickly prototype and was surprised with how rigid they were using a honeycomb infill. The pictured version was at 10% and could be heavily paired down. I regularly print closed side versions with 5% gyroid and it feels very secure. As printed the stand can securely hold many times the weight of my MacBook Pro without issue. Feel free to cap them off or change the infill as needed.
They are currently 30mm thick which seems like a good starting point for stability - you can obviously scaled its thickness to be more or less as needed.
The slot clearance between the foot and the frame is 0.1mm.
** This print was inspired by "T-RexCookie's 2 Part adjustable laptop stand" **
✅ some simple and scalable way to attach the sections together
✅ a multi-stepped leg that can handle multiple angles with a single print
✅ a captive slot design improve how the feet attach to the frame. (Added to version 2)
