Description
Replica of a A/SF-01 B-Wing starfighter at 1:270 scale.
There are three parts: The main hull with rotating cockpit (file “b-wing-hull.stl”); The folding wings (file “b-wing-wing.stl”); And the lower cannon (file “b-wing-cannon.stl”).
They slot together and shouldn't need glue to stick. The wings and cannon slot onto the hull so that their underside points toward the cockpit.
The cockpit and the hinges on the wings are print-in-place.
The hinges on the wings are very fragile. To break them free after printing, hold them as close to the hinge as possible and bend the wing slowly upwards, with even pressure. If they are to fused to break free, try printing with a lower flow rate.
To use it with a holder, print “b-wing-hull-holder” instead of “b-wing-hull”. You will also need to print “pin-small-angle.stl” as well as a small base and slanted pin from here.
I have printed everything at 0.07mm layer height with supports on buildplate. The cannon and especially the wings work best without any raft, sitting directly on the buildplate.
