NFC card kit to launch steam game or other

Hello hello hello

I present to you a small project. be able to launch dematerialized games with tangible NFC cards.

note: you can just use NFC cards to create your amiibo

To carry out this project you need:

• a 3D printer (obviously)

• an NFC card reader like https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B086HTYWR4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (designed for this model)
• filament spool
• a PC (for soft)

for the software you will need:

• nfc-tools-pc (to write on nfc cards) https://www.wakdev.com/fr/apps/nfc-tools-pc-mac.html
• NFC21-reader (to read NFC cards and run games) https://tools.nfc21.de/readerWin/

Little tutorial for writing the correct information on the NFC card

• on a steam game shortcut, right click→ property and copy the URL (it looks like steam://rungameid/*******)
• launch NFC-TOOL
• place the NFC card on the reader
• write→add a record→customURL/URI record→paste game URL
• write (the one between “add a record” and “more”)
• well done

Tutorial for reading cards and launching games

• launch NFC21 reader
• it should be able to detect your physical drive which appears at the bottom
• click “start monitoring”
• click settings 
• enable “read UID of NFC-TAg and enter it intro active window”
• enable “auto start”
• enable 'start application minimized"
• enable begin monitoring after startup
• done!!!!

be careful steam must be launched when window starts and your reader must be connected to the pc before turning it on

You can play by placing NFC cards on the reader.
