Description
This PSU mount attaches directly to the 2020 extrusion profiles of the Creality CR-10. It holds the original PSU coming with the CR-10, if you want to convert the classic CR-10 into a boxless version (similar to the Ender 3). The mains voltage section of the PSU is seperated from the output voltages and contains no screws/screwholes.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
THIS MOD IS ONLY RECOMMENDED FOR EXPERIENCED USERS! WORKING ON THE MAINS VOLTAGE SIDE OF THE POWER SUPPLY UNIT IS REQUIRED!
Parts needed:
Printer:
Generic Printer
Rafts:
No
Supports:
Yes
Resolution:
0.2 mm / 0.3 mm
Infill:
25%
Filament:
Generic PETG PETG
Notes:
PETG is recommended, as this is a critical mechanical part. Support is needed for the openings. Automatic support can be difficult to remove, you can use the second STL-file as support geometry.
Threaded inserts
Use a soldering iron (~200 °C) to press the threaded inserts into the back of the mount.
Assembly
It is recommended to mount the holder first to the extrusion profiles in the back of the CR-10 (after inserting the PSU you can't reach the mounting screws anymore). If you have a second Z-Motor, be careful to route the wires first. Clear the screw holes with a drill.
