Description
The original filament guide of the Prusa enclosure is nice, but inflexible because the PTFE tube is hard wired to the extruder. I usually print from my Ikea Drybox Mount with filament feed through the transport handle which is a comfortable solution, especially for longer prints and hygroscopic materials like PETG, ASA or Nylon. But when I do multicolor prints with many filament switches or I just want to do a quick test print, changing spools in the drybox gets very annoying and tiresome. That's why I wanted both: the filament feed from the integrated spool holder and the option to connect to my drybox. So I made this alternative filament feed which features a bowden fitting for the extruder's PTFE tube to either connect the extruder to the internal spool or an external feed.
As you can see I adopted most parts of the original design: I (re-)moved screws, joined the two case parts and added the fitting adapter. All you need is a PC4-M10 fitting and the screws and hex nuts from the original design, although you could switch to shorter screws.
Printed with MK4 IS in 0.1mm fast detail preset with Prusament PETG Jet Black and Prusa Orange. But 0,2mm structural preset works as well. No supports required. I uploaded a single color and two color version, which ever you like best. For the two color version the arrow prints first.
