Deburring Tool Case

I designed this tool case for a deburring tool and its replacement heads that came in a cardboard box. This tool case has a print in place hinge. Magnets hold the case shut while providing a satisfying snap as it is closed. Ensure you have a similar deburring tool to the one in the photos.

Hardware

The only hardware required for this case are four 10mmx3mm magnets. I used TRYMAG 10mmx3mm magnets from Amazon: https://a.co/d/0LjGt0u 

Print Settings

It is best to print this at a lower layer to help with the overhangs within the hinge. Use at least 2 shells.

My settings:

• 5 top and bottom layers
• 0.12mm layer height
• 15% infill
• 2 shells

Instructions:

1. Print the model.
2. If the hinge is stuck break it free using a little force. I had to use a decent amount of force, but when it broke free, the hinge felt good.
3. Use some CA glue to glue the four magnets into the holes. Be careful to have the correct polarities on each side of the case so it will be held closed.
