Star Wars New Elite

The New Elite was the ship of Nihil Tempest Runner Kassav.

It comes with an articulated stand.

Source of the Design

The New Elite is based on unused concept art for a Republic Gunship. The same concept art was used for the Pyke Sarisa-class gunship, which is why both ships look very similar.

There is a sketch of the New Elite in The Art of Star Wars: The High Republic, which looks quite different from this model.

The design from this particular sketch newer appeared outside this book (to my knowledge).

You can however find several images based on the previously mentioned piece of unused concept art from various sources.

This is why I based my model on the unused concept art.

Print Instructions

Everything was printed at 0.2mm layer height.

The ship is “new elite-print”. It requires supports.

Along the back of the wings, there are a total of four small slabs, highlighted in green in the following render.

These slabs are temporary supports, to ensure parts of the wings do not snap of during printing. They can be removed when the print is finished. (My own print did not have these slabs which is why parts of the back of the wings are broken off.)

If you want the ship without these slabs, use “new elite-base”

The stand is comprised of “new elite-stand arm” and “new elite-stand base”. They do not require supports.

I've added two filament changes to the base.
