This is a replacement cap for a Miele dishwasher toe-kick front plate. The original Miele part number is 6389680. According to the manufacturer's specification, it should be compatible with the G6xxx, G1xxx, and G2xxx dishwasher models.
I improved on the original design by adding a retaining wedge to keep the cap in place (see the photo showing two originals and two of my model).
Printing instructions
- Print the .stl file as-oriented in flex material.
Installation instructions
- Note that the screw must be at the top or bottom of the slot, since the retaining wedge sits in the centre.
- Rotate the cap left or right so that the retaining wedge is vertical and aligned with the screw slot.
- Push the cap into the slot, making sure the retaining wedge goes in fully.
- Slowly rotate the cap back into position, making sure the retaining wedge remains fully in the slot.
- Seat the cap neatly in the cutout on the toe-kick plate.
- The flex material should provide enough tension to hold the cap in place.
