Bonne Retraite - picture frame badge

Add a personalized touch to any picture or document frame. This one features two badges that clamp onto a picture frame. It is for a friend entering retirement.

The 3 part assembly features a badge, a clamp and a pin. The frame clamp retains an 8-32 nut. There are 4 files to choose from having different gaps for your frame: 1/2 in, 3/4 in, 1 in and 1-1/4 in. The pin tack holds the badge and the clamp together. The pin tack is a modification of whpthomas' design https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:130879 The badge is a 3-1/2" x 2-3/8" oval using Google's Courgette font.

The second badge with the text "mon ami Paul" uses the icon 'Retired' by Lemon Liu from the Noun Project, https://thenounproject.com/

I use a higher infill for the clamp and the pin has a lower resolution.

How I Designed This

I used OpenScad for all the design of the three parts. whpthomas' pin library comes in that format and makes modifications easy. The pintack has been modified by chopping down the base for fit. OpenScad makes it easy to create different width gaps in the clamp.

I experimented with Google fonts on this project and hope to have a Customizer version soon.
