Description
Safety cover for 9V batteries so you can safely store them or recycle them.
We recycle our alkaline and rechargeable batteries, but a good friend shared a warning about the fire risk of storing loose 9V batteries because the contacts are so close that it is easy for almost anything to short them and cause a fire. Here's the video that inspired me to make this:

I created the model to get better at using 123D Design and to learn more about my 3D printer. I measured the battery terminals and then created a small model. I've seen similar things before on bulk packs of 9V batteries and another 3D model here.
I also put 3 of them together to print in one run in case you have several 9V batteries that need to be disposed of safely (like when you replace all your smoke detector batteries).
(v2 has a slightly thicket column for the larger ring and the text 9V added - I haven't printed it yet.)
