Xacto OTF Keychain mini V3.0

(Updated design August 2024 with a complete redesign of all 8 pieces)

This is my initial prototype of a spring-loaded pocket knife with an X-Acto blade, designed to emulate the authentic OTF knife experience. 

The blade can be swapped out without requiring a complete disassembly.

As you can see in this video, there are no misfires at all, just my thumb getting tired 😅: 

Better to print with PETG

you gonna need some material:  

• 1 x-acto blade 11 (aliexpress)
• 1 threaded insert M2 (aliexpress)
• 1 M2 screw 5mm height (aliexpress)
• 1 tension spring ( 10mm ), wire diameter: 0.4mm, OuterDiameter 3mm (aliexpress) 
• Cut two small pieces of the pen spring, each around 3.5mm wide.
