Description

Experience the geometric beauty of our compact 3D-printable Hoberman Sphere, this model is ideal for educational use or just for fun.

Icosahedron Design: 12 vertices, 20 triangular faces, and 30 edges. Each edge is replaced by four precise linkages for smooth expansion and contraction. Transitions seamlessly from a compact state to a fully expanded structure.

Print settings: This make is printer at 0.4mm nozzle size, 0.2mm layer height. PETG, ABS or ASA. I do not recommend PLA for this specific make. Bed Adhesion; make sure you have good bed adhesion because there are a lot of thin parts.

No support required. The model is already in the correct orientation.

Some … a lot of assembly is required.

Print 12 Tops and 12 Bottom and 120 pins. The tops and bottoms are a “print in place” assembly of 6 parts each. The top and bottom are very similar but the legs are offset from the center of the hub. Make sure to assemble them in the correct orientation.

This model is free. If you wish to tip me or support me, you can do so at this link: https://www.printables.com/model/773888-infinity-calander
