Description
Mounting an action cam to your seat belt or backpack is a good solution for many types of action activities (make sure you follow the rules and regulations in your sport or activity). The problem with action cams on belts or straps is to quickly adjust them in the right orientation seconds before your actions starts. This is where this ball joint based quick adjuster comes into the game. I tested it extensively and for me it is the best solution I ever had.
Please note that this part is specifically made to fit to the Telesin velcro based body mount that is detailed below.
Printing of the parts is relatively simple. No supports are needed, all parts can be printed in the uploaded orientation.
I recommend to use a brim for the action cam mount and the ball.
I have used 4 perimeters and 30% infill to make the parts strong.
All you need in addition to the Telesin body mount and the printed parts are two M3x10 screws. Drive them through the ball joint into the hook from the bottom side. No thread cutting is needed (an it is not recommended).
Guide the threaded rod of the action cam holder through the lock nut, then screw on the ball. You can either tighten it strongly or use tiny bit of glue to make sure the thread does not come loose.
I got the Velcro holder from Amazon Germany under the brand Telesin. Just take a look at the link and see if you can get it in your country from any of the well known online shops.
