Gridfinity Soldering Station Storage and Tool Kit

This is a Gridfinity soldering organizer kit which is optimized around typical tools found in many soldering workstations. For baseplates, I recommend using Gridfinity Refined “Baseplates Minimal” by grizzie17, but will be compatible with any baseplate that follows the specifications set in place by Zack Freedman's original Gridfinity design.

Components:

1. Vertical Solder Spool Golder
   • A remix of the Retro Frog spool holder, this uses a bearing for low resistance rotation, and a cross knob to secure it in place.
2. Applicator Holder
   • Secures applicator bottles for various liquids such as no clean flux, isopropyl alcohol, and flux remover.
3. Bit Holder
   • Various sizes and types for both standard (C6.3) and precision (4mm) bits.
4. Side Cutters and Tweezers
5. Hoto Electric Screwdriver
6. Hoto Precision Electric Screwdriver
7. Precision 46-in-1 Screwdriver Kit 
8. Misc Tool Holder
   • Holds various tools such as brushes, screwdrivers, flux syringes, ruler, and more
9. Solder Tip Holder
   • Optimized for T12/T15 soldering tips, but will fit many others

Printing:

• This can be printed in a variety of materials, including PETG and PLA. However, if using a “Clickfinity” base, I recommend using PETG only.
• 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm height, 15%+ infill, 2+ walls (except where noted in file notes)
• No brim or supports necessary

Assembly:

• Vertical Spool Holder
  1. Install the heat set nut into the post using this technique to ensure it is flush
  2. Assemble the post, roller, bearing, washer assembly by screwing in the M3x16mm pan head screw
  3. Press the assembly down into the base
  4. Drop the solder spool onto the post and lightly tighten down the handle
• Liquid Applicator Bottles
  • Remove the junk needles they come with which are prone to leaking by turning counter clockwise, and replace with the full stainless luer lock needles
• Magnetic Bases
  • Ensure all 6x2mm magnets are properly aligned with the grid magnets and push them in from the side
