One of the most annoying things (and somewhat dangerous) when camping is tripping over the stake lines at night. Â Add these reflective flags to any stake line, whether for a tent, a tarp or canopy and it will pop out with even the littlest amount of light.
Reflective Tape
I bought 4 @ 39ft rolls of 1" tape for $7 from Amazon. Look for the following feature:
Waterproof
Outdoor
Reflective Warning Tape
The narrow flags are designed for 1" tape folded over the flag so you can see it from both directions. Â The wide flags are for 2" tape.
Assembly
Look at the lines that you want to flag.
Print the narrow size (line diameter in mm in model file name) that you think would fit snuggly as you want the friction with the line to hold it in place
Test fit the flag to the line and adjust up or down as necessary
Too tight and it is likely to break putting it on
Too loose and it will slide down to the stake
Choose how big you want your flag based on the size reflective tape you have
Wide = 2" reflective tape folded over
Narrow = 1" reflective tape folded over
Print as many as you need (they are pretty fast to print)
PETG as PLA is too brittle and likes to snap
0.3mm layer height so they print faster
15% gyroid infill (there isn't much space that isn't walls in the model)
Cut reflective tape to length
Peel and attach reflective tape over the flat part of the flag
When camping, snap on to stake lines and slide to a good position to be seen
Glow in the dark filament makes them visible at night in total darkness.  I still recommend  putting tape over half of the flag.
