Paracord tightener for 3mm lines

Use-case

This part can be used to connect to ends of a paracord, after it has been pulled tight. In contrast to trying a simple know, there will be no additional slack created during fixing the loose end. The main advantage however is that the connection can be opened very easily without breaking your fingernails. Simply pull the open end out of the holding slot and the robe will come free. 

If have created this part for the robe that runs around my motorbike tarpaulin. It holds everything together tightly even in strong winds. Still I can open it very quickly when I need the bike.

Since the parts are very small and lightweight, they can be printed quickly in quantities and can be brought on hiking trips even if you travel light. 

Printing

Simply print this part in the uploaded orientation with 100% infill. It is successfully tested in PLA and PETG on different printers.

Application

Make sure to run the cord around the part as shown in the picture.

• Hold the part with your left hand,  have the open slots facing to the right, the hole facing away from you
• Come with the line from the bottom, over and around the lower part
• Have the line go over the already wound line, to the left, around the part, into the holding slot and pull it tight to the left
• You are done, everything will hold together well but also be opened very easily.
