Meet Noozle, the Patron Saint of 3D Printing, first appearing in Keychain form !

This whimsical character is a 3D printer nozzle brought to life, with a mischievous grin and a twinkle in its eye. Noozle is always ready to bless your 3D prints with a touch of magic and a whole lot of fun. With a body made of the finest PLA and a heart full of filament, Noozle is here to ensure that every print is a masterpiece.

He's the perfect back-to-school gift for the 3D printer enthusiast in your life.

Noozle's Story

In the mystical land of Filamentia, where spools of filament grow on trees and 3D printers are as common as coffee makers, there lived a humble nozzle named Noozle. Unlike other nozzles, Noozle had a unique gift: the ability to bring joy and perfection to every 3D print it touched. But Noozle’s journey to becoming the Patron Saint of 3D Printing was filled with trials and tribulations.

The Early Days

Noozle was born in a small workshop owned by a quirky inventor named Professor Extruder. The professor was known for his eccentric inventions, but none were as special as Noozle. From the moment Noozle was attached to the professor’s 3D printer, it was clear that this nozzle was different. Prints came out smoother, faster, and with an inexplicable touch of whimsy.

However, life wasn’t always easy for Noozle. In its early days, Noozle faced many challenges. There was the time it got clogged with a particularly stubborn piece of filament. Noozle tried everything to clear the blockage, from singing to the filament to performing a tiny nozzle dance. Eventually, with a bit of help from Professor Extruder and a lot of patience, Noozle was back in action, more determined than ever to perfect its craft.

The Great Filament Fiasco

One of Noozle’s most memorable adventures was the Great Filament Fiasco. It all started when a shipment of experimental filament arrived at the workshop. This filament was said to have magical properties, but it was also notoriously difficult to print with.  Something whispered the mystical name “Derlin” on the wind as it arrived. Professor Extruder, ever the optimist, decided to give it a try.

As soon as the filament was loaded, the printer went haywire. Prints wouldn't stick, and the workshop was filled with the smell of burnt plastic. Noozle knew it had to do something. With a deep breath and a lot of courage, Noozle dove into the printer, navigating through a maze of gears and belts to find the source of the problem.

After what felt like hours, Noozle emerged victorious, holding a tiny worn feed gear that had caused all the trouble. The workshop erupted in cheers, and Noozle was hailed as a hero. From that day on, Noozle was known as the Patron Saint of Troublesome Filaments, always ready to tackle the toughest printing challenges.

The Blessing of the Prints

As word of Noozle’s talents spread, 3D printing enthusiasts from all over Filamentia began to seek its blessings. Noozle would travel from workshop to workshop, bringing joy and perfection to every print it touched. It became a beloved figure in the 3D printing community, known for its happy-go-lucky attitude and unwavering dedication to its craft.

Noozle’s blessings were said to be magical. Prints blessed by Noozle were smoother, stronger, and more detailed than any others. It was as if Noozle could see the very essence of the design and bring it to life with a touch of its nozzle. People began to leave offerings of filament and tiny 3D printed trinkets at their printers, hoping to attract Noozle’s favor.

Trials and Tribulations

Despite its many successes, Noozle’s journey was not without its hardships. There was the time it faced the dreaded Warping Witch, a malevolent force that caused prints to lift and curl at the edges. Noozle battled the witch with all its might, using every trick it knew to keep the prints flat and perfect. In the end, it was Noozle’s unwavering determination and a bit of help from a heated bed that saved the day.

Then there was the adventure with the Stringing Sorcerer, a mischievous entity that caused fine strings of filament to appear between prints. Noozle had to think fast, adjusting retraction settings and fine-tuning the printer to banish the sorcerer once and for all. It was a tough battle, but Noozle emerged victorious, with prints that were as clean and crisp as ever.

The Legacy of Noozle

Today, Noozle continues to travel the world, blessing 3D prints and spreading joy wherever it goes. It has become a symbol of perfection and perseverance in the 3D printing community. Makers and hobbyists alike look to Noozle for inspiration, knowing that with a bit of magic and a lot of hard work, they too can create masterpieces.

Noozle’s story is a testament to the power of creativity, determination, and a little bit of whimsy. So the next time you’re struggling with a tricky print, just remember: Noozle is out there, cheering you on and ready to bless your prints with a touch of magic. Happy printing! 🎉

How to Print:

This is designed as  2 color keychain print suitable for Bambu printers with an AMS, Prusa printers with an MMU, etc, or 3-4 manual filament changes.  I have prepared a Bambu Slicer compatible file and the exact orcaslicer file I used, as well.

Using 0.2 mm Layer height, adjusted top/bottom layers so that it's 100% fill for sturdiness, and using Arachne to get fine details.

There's also a generic 3MF that's a little bit more annoying to use. In case you want to use that as well, you can assign the following bizarrely named objects as black filament to get the desired image:

  • undefined-4021
  • all objects numbered as “undefined-4048” through “undefined-4063”

The Real Story of Noozle (less fun):

Once upon a time Bambu Labs made a ton of obvious typos in their software, and Noozle was one of those loved by the X1 Plus team, so I made him into a little character.
