Description
I had some 80mm fans lying around to be used in a computer case and I thought I'd make something useful out of them.
This is a 12v computer case fan that I soldered a USB boost converter to supply 12v from a 5v USB port. You can cut the barrel connector off of the boost converter cable below and solder directly to the fan or add the alligator clip to barrel jack adapter to make it detachable.
I clipped the alligator clips off and soldered the barrel jack to the fan directly to make it detachable.
Here is what you'll need:
12v USB boost converter

2.1mm barrel connector to attach to boost converter

I used my own parts (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1785190) to create the swiveling action.
It prints in 3 parts. The "fan body" stl is the only one that needs support and it's minimal.
