Wasp Trap (12 oz - 2 Liter Soda Bottle)

Update 23AUG2018 - I added a long version for people who have escaping wasps! The extra long cone is harder for them to escape from. This is especially true of smaller bottles. This is the model I now recommend.

Update 18AUG2018 - I made the cone thicker as some slicers wouldn't slice it properly. It's now 1.0mm thick, instead of 0.5mm

I used the PCO1881 bottle cap to create my wasp trap. It is modeled in a similar design to the "Soda Bottle Wasp Trap" so I referenced it as a remix, although I only used it as inspiration.

I wanted the holes to be larger (10mm) as the wasps and yellow jackets couldn't enter the referenced design. My design screws on to a PCO1881 bottle (soda or pop bottle, usually from 12oz - 2 liter sizes.

I have tried sweet, beer, and protein concoctions and they seem to work at different times of the year. Proteins in spring and early summer, sweet or beer later summer and autumn. Please do not use baits that attract honey bees. Beer is preferred as honey bees are not attracted to it.
