03-08-2020 UPDATE: Infill at 40% has proven to be best for me

Looks like an update exactly one year later :) Just FYI: I've found infill at 40% to be best. I had one holder fail after months of hanging on the wall, and this seems to have addressed it.

03-08-2019 UPDATE: v2 files posted

I moved the hook for the gloves to the far end of the mount vs close to the wall. This makes them functional even if boards are stacked closely together.

Snowboard Mounts

Wall snowboard mounts designed to accomodate gloves and helmet. Snowboards should be placed on the mounts toe side to the wall (as heel side usually extends further out from the board).

There are two versions included:

  1. SnowboardMount-NoBumpStop - the board will rest against the wall mount bracket directly. Use this if your toe side binding does not extend over the board.

  2. SnowboardMount-BumpStop - includes a 20 mm 'bump stop' which will hold the board further away from the wall. Use this if your toe side binding DOES extend a bit over the board.

Print two of these to mount one snowboard.

The short poles on both sides are there to hang gloves from. The hook further away from the wall, accomodates hanging a helmet from the chin strap. The hook should be far enough away from the wall as to not bump it (at least for teenage size helmets, I haven't tested adult sizes).

It's working really well for us (see pic with 3 sets in place). I spaced them 3 inches apart from each other which does not make the upper mount glove/helmet holders very functional as the lower boards get in the way. Not a huge deal for us, we can still hang everything as needed, it's just not as neat and tidy. Further spacing would solve this, but also take up too much space on the wall. If you just need one or two, this shouldn't bother you.

Let me know if you find it useful!

Thanks,
Per
