Picture hanger with clip

Original design. Simple.

STORY
We had a bunch of picture hooks that were visible above the picture frame. I made these to slide down over the nail but remain hidden. I added a 45 degree bevel on both sides, this should prevent a picture which slides to the side from falling off the wall. But there are lots of earthquakes here, so I also wanted to ensure the hook stayed on the nail, so I made a clip that can slide up from the bottom. Pretty tight tolerances, but should be able to slide on by hand.

If you need a looser fit version, let me know. Or a shallower version.

PRINT SETTINGS
I printed them in PLA at:

• .20mm layer height
• 20% infill
• 2 perimeters. (3 perimeters should make them mostly solid. I will update this if pictures start falling off my walls, lol)
