Handle SAW
This handle is specifically designed for working with double-sided metal blades, 20 mm wide. In fact, there are times when using such a tool proves more convenient than a standard hacksaw when cutting in hard-to-reach areas.
Today happens to be one of those instances when I needed a handle just like this to tackle an urgent need for cutting. I scoured through stores, but didn't find a suitable option. Interestingly, there were some handles available for purchase, but they somehow didn't meet my expectations. That's when I decided to get some hands-on practice, because crafting this handle was not an entirely straightforward task, and even rehearsing seldom-used skills turned out to be beneficial.
The end result is a handle that's quite ergonomic. However, I had an idea to enhance it further by incorporating clamps at the top of the blade using fastening screws, to firmly secure the teeth. Such a clamp proved to be much more reliable in cases where the blade might get stuck due to insufficient precision. I used square M3 nuts for these clamps, and their installation during assembly isn't complicated at all. The handle itself consists of two halves, which you simply need to glue together after initially setting the nuts in place, of course :)
Perhaps it might come in handy for you as well, should you ever find yourself facing similar tasks.
