Honeycomb Ice Mold

Wandering through the vastness of Aliexpress today, I stumbled upon astonishing silicone molds for hexagonal ice. They instantly caught my eye! However, the thought of waiting a long time for delivery dampened my enthusiasm. Inspired by this discovery, I decided to embark on creating my own design using TPU. To make the ice extraction process even more convenient, I added a creative twist by altering the shape to a trapezoidal form, tilting each cell by 3 degrees.

There's the option to use PETG, but I concluded that TPU would provide the necessary flexibility. This would allow for easy bending of the mold when needed, simplifying the process of popping out the ready ice cubes. This approach merges creativity, innovation, and practicality, turning the ice-making process into pure delight.
