Description
Meet Draxolotl, the third little creature in my Hybrid Axolotl Collection.
Look my other models of the Hybrid Axelotl Flexi Collection:
This model is a playful mix between an axolotl and a tiny dragon. It has the cute face and gills of an axolotl, combined with dragon horns, little wings, back spikes and a long flexi body. I wanted it to look magical, a bit silly and still very cute — like a tiny fantasy pet that just hatched from the printer.
Draxolotl is designed as a small flexi / articulated model and works great as a desk buddy, collectible figure, small gift or fun fantasy print. It can be printed in one color and also looks great if you paint the eyes, horns, wings, gills or scale details yourself.
Approximate print values:
For best results, I recommend printing slowly enough to keep the small details clean, especially around the horns, gills, wings and spikes.
After printing, let the model cool down before moving the flexi sections. If needed, carefully loosen the articulated parts before bending them fully.
The model can be scaled up if you want a larger fantasy creature. When scaling down, keep in mind that the small details and flexi gaps may become more delicate.
Draxolotl looks great in many filament colors, for example:
You can also print it in one color and paint the details yourself. Eyes, gills, horns, wings and little scale details are especially fun to customize.
This is a small decorative and collectible 3D print. Some details may be delicate if printed very small. Not suitable for very young children due to small parts.
If you print your own Draxolotl, I would love to see your make and your color choice!
