Butter Barn - Now Available for East Coast and West Coast Butter Sizes

 

I designed the Butter Barn to reimagine the butter dish with a focus on thoughtful details and clean, minimal lines. Now, I’m excited to share that the Butter Barn is available in two versions: one for West Coast butter sticks and a brand-new design specifically for East Coast butter sticks.

 

Here’s what you need to know about the two sizes:

• West Coast Butter: Typically measures 3.25 inches long, 1.5 inches wide, and 1.5 inches high, crafted for butter sticks commonly found in the western United States.

• East Coast Butter: Generally measures 4.75 inches long, 1.25 inches wide, and 1.25 inches high. The new design accommodates the longer, narrower butter sticks (often called East Coast or Elgin butter sticks), offering the same snug and secure fit.

Key Features

• Made for the Countertop: Whether you use East Coast or West Coast butter, the Butter Barn’s snug lid keeps it fresh and protected, making it perfect for room-temperature storage.

• Precision Measurements: The base includes markings for tablespoons and cups, so portioning out butter for cooking or baking is intuitive and precise.

• Thoughtful Lid Design: Both designs feature a chamfered slope on the inside of the lid, allowing for a clean, horizontal top without requiring supports during printing.

• Crafted with Elegance: While I’ve used PLA Matte in white and light tan for previous designs, I now recommend using PLA Wood by Bambu Lab. It offers a refined, natural kitchen wood color that enhances the Butter Barn’s aesthetic, blending beautifully into any kitchen decor.

 

Food Safety Note

To keep your Butter Barn in pristine condition, wash it by hand with mild soap and water, and avoid placing it in the dishwasher. It’s also best to keep it out of the microwave. For more information on food safety and 3D printing, check out this video.
